To allocate the best space for you, we’ll need more details about your business and the products you sell. If you use electric or LPG equipment, please ensure you have valid documentation, which will be required to trade. If your application is successful, we will request these documents before the event. All traders must provide up-to-date insurance and a risk assessment. Food traders must also submit food hygiene certificates.

Donation

There has been some feedback that our food festival pitch fees are lower than many other events. We are proud of this. As a community organisation run by the community and for the community, our aim has always been to support the businesses, makers, and people who take part, not to squeeze them. Affordable pitch fees help more traders get involved, which strengthens the festival and the wider local economy.

That said, contributing a little more where possible helps us do even more for the community. Unlike many festivals, we do not operate a bar – which is normally where organisers generate most of their profit. Instead, we choose to leave this to the Bridport Round Table, with whom we have worked for many years. The funds they raise go straight back into community projects and support local good causes.

By keeping costs fair and working in partnership, everyone benefits: the traders, the audience, and the community we are all here to celebrate.

If, as a trader, you would like to contribute a little more, please feel free to do so. Any additional amount you choose to add will go directly back into supporting community projects, improving the festival, and helping us keep participation accessible for everyone.

Sponsorship

The Festival offers several opportunities for businesses to support the event and gain some exposure through the event and this funding helps to provide the vital infrastructure necessary for the festival.

All monies raised during the festival (entrance fees, sponsorship, traders fees etc) go towards the costs of staging the festival. Any surplus funds are used to support local food related activities.

We are also gauging interest in the possibility of extending the festival to a second day on Sunday in 2027, making it a two-day food festival.
