Taste Trail 2017

Sunday 11 June – Saturday 17 June

A unique opportunity to sample dishes and specialities from many of our local eateries and hospitality outlets.  The process is simple.  You purchase Taste Trail tokens from the Bridport Tourist Information Centre and participating venues.   Tokens can then be exchanged for dishes and drinks at participating venues from Sunday 11 – Saturday 17 June.

Token prices for this year are:

  • £3.00 for a single token
  • £12.00 for a strip of 5 tokens

As well as your tokens you will be given a handy map to help you plan your way around as well as information about what dishes and drinks will be available.  See below the list of participating venues and their menus,  will be available at the Tourist Information Centre from 31 May.

BRIDPORT

Aroma Cafe, 31 East Street-Monday – Saturday 9am to 5pm

  • Smoked mackerel pate with toast
  • Vegan salad platter

BearKat Bistro, Barrack Street – Tuesday – Saturday  9am – 4pm

  • Foraged sea greens tart with local organic leaves
  • Iced coffee
  • Egg custard tart
  • Peanut butter milk stout cake

Blue Moon Cafe, 4 Victoria Grove – Monday -Friday excluding Thursday 9am – 2.30pm

  • Bacon or sausage bap with a mug of tea

Cafe Bean, 41 South Street -Thursday 9am – 2pm, Friday 9am-4pm

  • Dorset Apple cake warm with clotted cream and a pot of Dorset tea

Greenyard Cafe, 4-6 Barrack Street – Monday – Friday 9am – 11am

  • Pot of tea and a slice of homemade cake

Leakers Bakery, 29 East Street – Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Saturday 8am – 3pm

  • A Strawberry Cream Tea Scone stacked high with fresh whipped cream, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries

Red Brick Cafe, St Michael’s Trading Estate – Wednesday – Saturday 10am-3pm

  • Piece of vegetarian frittata made with local ingredients inc. organic eggs
  •  Coffee and homemade cake
  •  Fresh salad sample plate including local ingredients

Soulshine Cafe, 76 South Street– Thursday noon-2pm

  • Small juice served with some of our bread, olives and whipped
    beetroot and goats cheese

Wessex Wines, St Michael’s Lane – Monday – Saturday 9.20am – 1.00pm

  • ‘A tour of the Mediterranean in Eight Wines’ with tastings and guidance on wines from Greece, Italy, France and Spain

ON WAY TO WEST BAY FROM BRIDPORT

Citrus Grove Cafe, West Bay Road – Monday-Friday 8.00am – 5.00 pm; Saturday 8.00am – 5.00pm

  • Homemade cream tea

Palmers Wine Store, West Bay Road – Monday – Saturday 9am – 6pm

  • Two halves of real ale
    Ginger beer or lemonade

NB: Taste Trailers at Palmers Wine store will also get glass tankard to take away

  • Quinoa, mint, pea and feta salad with chargrilled summer vegetables

BURTON BRADSTOCK

  • Half pint of shell-on prawns, marie rose sauce, lemon
  • Spicy chicken wings, blue cheese dip, celery
  • Breaded whitebait, tartare sauce, lemon
