Cookery Demonstrations at this year’s Festival on 17 June

We are very pleased to be welcoming the following chefs and food experts this year to the cookery theatre:

Dan Richards, Head Chef, at the Seaside Boarding House, Burton Bradstock.  His theme is going to be:  Seasonal, local, wild.  He will be cooking 2 dishes:  Braised cuttlefish & foraged sea greens and slow cooked sea trout (confit), salted cucumber & herbs.

Julie Montagu  the Cookery Book Author and  creator of energy snacks will be talking about what and how to use Super Foods in everyday meals, and will be cooking-up a few dishes using them.

Christine McFadden our very own Dorset food writer, professional recipe developer and cookery teacher, will be demonstrating dishes using locally caught fish.

Sarah Ali-Choudhury, the daughter of Rafique and Helen Choudhury from the Taj Mahal, Bridport  who is now sharing her own home recipes across Dorset and writing a regular column in the Bournemouth Echo will be demonstrating how to cook easy and quick authentic curry dishes.

Rachel Roddy, the award-winning British Food Writer living in Rome who writes a weekly column in the Guardian will be demonstrating a selection of classic pasta dishes.
